Islewind's Silver Mist
Photographer Bonnie Saul Silver Born: November 1, 1997 - Pictured at 5 years above. Silver is 9 years old in 2007 and is now a couch potato. Height: 15.25" Silver did not have the temperament to be a show dog. Many of her offspring had her temperament. Colour: Bifactored Blue Merle Eye Test: Oct 16/99 - Normal Thyroid - Normal Hips - OFA SS-8771G27F-T Litters to Date: 3 Note: All puppies from Silver's first two litters aside from two pups (bitches) in a kennel in the US (and one overseas that was sold before we knew about the genetic issues) were placed into pet homes due to unacceptable test results of the sires and reported issues from other kennels of problems using them as well. Both of these girls were used for breeding and have offspring. We bought back all the show/breeding dogs we could and rehomed them into pet homes where these genetic issues would not be a problem. All dogs we had control over to remove from breeding came back to Islewind and were spayed/neutered and placed as pets. Those noted above we had no control over their being used. Please be aware that Islewind retained none of these puppies (from her first two litters) ourselves or for our breeding program. If you have one of the pups descended from these litters please DO ALL GENETIC testing before their use and TEST ALL THEIR OFFSPRING! We take no responsibility for those that use dogs down from Silver's first two litters. We have only one offspring of Silver's - her daughter born in her 3rd litter who is 14.5" tall. She is show quality however, Hannah is not being used for breeding due to an allergy that developed in her after she came in contact with a chemical as a puppy. This caused a chain reaction of allergies that has indicated that Hannah should not be bred. Hannah is a retiree at Islewind as well. Silver is retired from breeding and is now a couch potato at Islewind.
